કેવી રીતે વાપરવું
- Choose the time zone of the time you know. It starts as India (IST).
- Set the date and time (24-hour clock). It opens at the current time, and you can tap now to go back to it.
- You'll see the same moment in Dubai, Singapore, London, Frankfurt, New York, Toronto, San Francisco, Sydney and Tokyo, with "next day" or "previous day" where the date changes.
- Type a city or zone name under Add a city to add it, tap ✕ to remove one, or tap ↑ to make a city the starting zone.
- Tap copy times to paste the whole list into a meeting invite or chat.
Converting IST to world time
India runs on one time zone, Indian Standard Time (IST), UTC+5:30. It's based on the 82.5° E meridian near Mirzapur, and India doesn't use daylight saving time, so IST never changes. Many other countries do move their clocks for summer. That's why the gap between India and London or New York changes twice a year. This time zone converter uses your browser's built-in time zone database, so it gets those changes right for any date. Nothing is sent over the internet.
How it works
city time = UTC time + the city's offset on that date
Example: a call at 7:30 pm IST on Monday, 12 October 2026. In UTC that's 2:00 pm (19:30 − 5:30). London is on summer time (UTC+1) until 25 October, so it's 3:00 pm there. New York is on UTC−4, so it's 10:00 am. San Francisco is on UTC−7, so it's 7:00 am. Sydney has already started summer time (UTC+11), so it's 1:00 am on Tuesday.
Time difference from India
| City | Standard time vs IST | During daylight saving |
|---|---|---|
| Dubai | 1 h 30 min behind | no daylight saving |
| Singapore | 2 h 30 min ahead | no daylight saving |
| Tokyo | 3 h 30 min ahead | no daylight saving |
| London | 5 h 30 min behind | 4 h 30 min behind (late Mar to late Oct) |
| Frankfurt | 4 h 30 min behind | 3 h 30 min behind (late Mar to late Oct) |
| New York, Toronto | 10 h 30 min behind | 9 h 30 min behind (mid Mar to early Nov) |
| San Francisco | 13 h 30 min behind | 12 h 30 min behind (mid Mar to early Nov) |
| Sydney | 4 h 30 min ahead | 5 h 30 min ahead (early Oct to early Apr) |
In 2026, clocks change on 8 March and 1 November in the USA and Canada, on 29 March and 25 October in the UK and the EU, and on 5 April and 4 October in Sydney. For a few weeks each spring and autumn, Europe and North America change on different dates. During those weeks the London to New York gap is 4 hours instead of 5, and the converter allows for it.
Skipped and repeated times
When clocks go forward, one hour doesn't exist. In New York, 2:30 am on 8 March 2026 never happens. If you enter such a time, the tool tells you and uses the moment one hour later. When clocks go back, one hour happens twice. In London, 1:30 am on 25 October 2026 happens first in summer time and again in winter time, and the tool uses the first one. IST has neither problem.
Tips for scheduling across zones
- Each row is marked "office hours" (9 am–6 pm on a weekday) or "night" (10 pm–6 am) to help you pick a fair slot.
- For the US, India's late evening (around 7:30–9:30 pm IST) overlaps the East Coast morning.
- Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai and Kolkata all share IST. When adding a city, use the zone's main city name, for example "Kolkata", "Kathmandu" or "Chicago".
