How to Use

  1. Choose Draw and sign in the box with your finger, a stylus or the mouse. Use Undo to remove the last stroke or Clear to start again, and set the Pen width before you sign.
  2. Or choose Type, enter your name and pick one of the three styles, then adjust the Size and Slant.
  3. Pick an Ink colour: black, blue or a custom colour.
  4. For documents, choose a width (300, 600 or 1200 px) under Transparent PNG and tap Download PNG. For an exam or job form, pick the form under White JPG for exam and job forms (or Custom size) and tap Download JPG; the size and KB are shown after.
  5. To reuse it later on this device, turn on Remember my signature on this device. Tap Forget it to delete the saved copy.

What this signature maker does

This signature maker lets you draw your signature on the screen, or type your name in a handwriting-style font, and save it as an image. You get either a transparent PNG to place on a PDF, a Word letter or an invoice, or a white-background JPG sized for Indian exam and job application forms, with the file size brought inside the KB range the form asks for.

Your signature is drawn and saved by your own browser. It isn't uploaded, and it's only remembered on this device if you switch that on yourself.

How the drawn signature stays smooth

Fingers and mice report positions in small jumps, which can make a drawn signature look shaky. The pad does two things. It moves each new point only part of the way towards where your finger is (a light filter that irons out tremor), and it joins the points with curves from midpoint to midpoint instead of straight lines. The strokes are kept as shapes, not pixels, so when you export a 1200 px PNG they are redrawn at full size rather than blown up.

smoothed point = last point + (new point โˆ’ last point) ร— 0.6 (0.8 with a stylus)
PNG margin = 4% of the width (at least 4 px)
PNG height = ink height ร— (width โˆ’ 2 ร— margin) รท ink width + 2 ร— margin

A worked example

You sign across about 276 ร— 92 units of the pad and ask for a 600 px PNG. The margin is 24 px, so the ink fills 552 px across, a scale of 2. The height becomes 92 ร— 2 + 48 = 232 px. The tool trims away all the empty space around your signature first, so the PNG holds just the signature with a neat border.

For an IBPS or SBI form, the signature is centred on a 140 ร— 60 px white JPG with a small border, and the JPG quality is adjusted until the file is between 10 and 20 KB. If a clean signature comes out smaller than the minimum even at top quality, blank comment data is added to the file to reach it. The picture doesn't change.

Drawn, typed or scanned?

Exam boards, banks and government forms want your real handwritten signature, the one you'll repeat on the admit card and at the exam centre. If you can sign neatly with a finger, the Draw mode works. If not, sign on white paper, take a photo and use our signature background remover. A typed signature is fine for emails, quotations and letters you send yourself.

An image of your signature is not a "digital signature" under the Information Technology Act, 2000. Documents that need a legally valid e-signature use a Digital Signature Certificate (DSC), as company filings on the MCA portal do, or Aadhaar-based eSign.

Tips

  • Sign slowly and fairly large. Small, fast signatures lose detail when shrunk to 140 ร— 60 px.
  • Blue or black ink is what most forms expect. Some, like IBPS, reject signatures in CAPITAL LETTERS.
  • Use "Remember my signature" only on your own phone or laptop, never on a cyber cafรฉ or office computer.

Frequently Asked Questions

Draw your signature in the box, choose your exam under White JPG for exam and job forms and tap Download JPG. The tool makes a white JPG of the right pixel size and brings the file size into the KB range, such as 10โ€“20 KB for IBPS and SBI.

Usually, if it matches how you sign on paper. Forms ask for your own signature, so it must look like the one you'll put on the admit card and at the exam centre. A typed name in a script font is not accepted as a signature.

Draw or type your signature, choose a width and tap Download PNG. The PNG is cropped to your signature with a transparent background, so it sits on the page without a white box.

No. It's never uploaded. It's kept on this device only if you turn on Remember my signature, and Forget it deletes that copy straight away.

No. This makes a picture of your signature. A digital signature under the IT Act, 2000 uses a Digital Signature Certificate (DSC) or Aadhaar eSign. Company filings on the MCA portal, for example, need a DSC.

The tool adds blank comment data inside the JPG to reach the minimum. The image itself doesn't change and the file is still a normal, valid JPG.
