What are you encoding?
For a search term or query value: / ? & = and # are encoded too (encodeURIComponent).

કેવી રીતે વાપરવું
- Choose Encode or Decode at the top, then paste your URL or text.
- When encoding, pick A value or part for a search term or query value (spaces become %20, & becomes %26), or A whole URL to keep the link working. You can also write spaces as +.
- When decoding, %XX codes turn back into readable characters as you type. Turn on "Decode again" for values that were encoded twice, like %2520.
- Click Copy to copy the result. For a full web address, the tool also lists the host, path and each query parameter, decoded, with a copy button for each.
Why URLs need encoding
A URL can only contain a limited set of ASCII characters. Special characters such as spaces, &, =, # and % have to be percent-encoded before they can go into a URL safely. If they aren't, a query parameter with "&" in it gets read as a separator between two parameters. This URL encoder and decoder converts text both ways.
Common encoded characters
| Character | Encoded | Use |
|---|---|---|
| Space | %20 or + | In query strings |
| & | %26 | Stops it being read as a parameter separator |
| = | %3D | In parameter values |
| # | %23 | Stops it being read as the start of a fragment |
| Hindi / Unicode | %E0%A4%B9... | Non-ASCII characters |
When you'd use it
- Building API request URLs with query parameters that change.
- Reading garbled URLs from log files or error messages.
- Making shareable links that contain search terms or special characters.
- Debugging web scraping and HTTP request problems.
